Big news because in exactly one year from today, November 16th 2018, the sequel of Fantastic Beasts and Where to find them will come out !
And it has now an official title, Fantastic Beasts : The Crimes of Grindelwald.
You are all excited, right ? The studio has released a magical first-look image to please you.
What will the story be about ?
Remember at the end of the first movie, Grindelwald (Johnny Depp) has been captured by MACUSA (Magical Congres of the United States of America), with the help of Newt (Eddie Redmayne). But of course this bad guy will escape, because if not, where's the fun ?? His aim will be to raise a pure-blood wizard army to rule over the non-magical people.
To fight Grinderwald, young Dumbledore (Jude Law) will call his former student Newt Scamander, who agrees to help despite the dangers. We will have a look at a very divided wirzarding world.
From left to right, here is this amazing cast:
Jude Law (young dumbledore)
Ezra Miller (finally returns as Credence, as we did not know at the end of the first movie if he was still alive or not) and Claudia Kim (Maledictus, apparently in love with Credence, but who carries a curse that makes her turn into a beast)
Zoe Kravitz (Leta Lestrange, whose we saw the picture in the first movie, in Newt's stuff. We assumed both were pretty close at a moment, but she's apparently now engaged to his brother), Callum Turner (Theseus Scamander, Newt's brother, a celebrated war hero and the Head of Aurore Office at the British Ministry of Magic)
Katherine Waterston (Tina Goldstein, who has been reinstated as an Auror at MACUSA), Eddie Redmayne (returns of course as Newt Scamander, with a new coat !)
Dan Fogler (Jacob Kowalski, the adorable non-maj of the band), Alison Sudol (the lovely Queenie Goldstein, Tina's sister, a Legilimens who can read minds)
and last but not least, Johnny Depp (Grindelwald, the powerful dark wizard).
